FILLED UP TO POUR OUT!

“But if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never be thirsty again. For when you drink the water I give you, it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, flooding you with endless life!” John 4:14 TPT

Can I ask you a personal question:

Truthfully, how is your heart doing?

Are you feeling: Empty? Alone? Broken? Disappointed? Defeated? Overwhelmed? Hopeless? Weary?

Maybe you feel like the Samaritan Woman at the Well.  She came to the well feeling empty but had an unexpected encounter that filled her with overflowing hope!

Like the Samaritan Woman, You Can Encounter Jesus and be filled with Living Water!

Jesus crossed social, cultural, and moral boundaries to meet the Woman at the well in the heat of the day.

He purposefully traveled through Samaria – a region considered unclean and avoided by traditional Jews because they were racially mixed (Jews and Samaritans) to engage with her at Jacob’s Well.

This woman came with heavy physical, spiritual, emotional and relational burdens.

She arrives at the well at noon, the hottest part of the day, to avoid the judgment and gossip of other village women who typically gathered in the cool morning.

She came for water, but He came for her!

Jesus knew her story and met her at her point of need. He saw past her brokenness and offered unconditional acceptance rather than condemnation, instantly replacing her shame with dignity.

Jesus moved her from a religion to a personal, intimate relationship being filled with His Holy Spirit; ensuring her that His Presence would never leave her!

 Beloved Daughter, HE CAME FOR YOU!

Right now, Jesus will meet you at your point of need! He sees you, understands you and loves you unconditionally. He does not define you by your past, pain, brokenness, failure and sin. He wants to heal your heart and fill you with His Living Water that will refresh, renew and hydrate you spiritually with an eternal spring of HOPE that will never run dry!!!

He wants to move you from religion and having a “head knowledge” faith to a personal, intimate Father and daughter relationship.

When you have a divine encounter with Jesus, His Living Water, The Holy Spirit, comes to dwell within you and fill you daily as you surrender your heart and life to Him.

Do you know for sure that the Holy Spirit dwells within you and you belong to God and He belongs to you?  If you are not sure, please stop and pray this prayer out loud to become securely planted in Christ:

 “Father, I believe by faith that You sent the greatest gift of love…Jesus, and that He suffered, died on the cross and was raised from the dead for me… so that I could be forgiven, healed, set free and live for eternity.  I ask the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in my heart. Fill me and sustain me with Your Presence to bring hope, healing, restoration and freedom as I commit to follow you.  Thank You for Your unfailing love, mercy and grace. Out of my deep gratitude, I desire to fulfil Your plan and purpose for my life to share Your Light of Hope and leave a legacy of faith for future generations. I desire to love you Lord, with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!”

Like the Samaritan Woman, You Can Be Filled Up to Pour Out!

Even though we don’t know her name, she was intimately known and loved by Jesus…and His Unconditional Love transformed her!

She was healed, restored and set free by His Love and Jesus fulfilled HIS Redeeming purpose from her painful past.

She was the first person that Jesus revealed His identity to as The Messiah and the First Evangelist in the Bible!

Her transformation was immediate. She left her heavy water jar—the symbol of her daily chore of emptiness and isolation, and ran to her town, the very people she had been trying to avoid, pouring out her testimony, "Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did."  

Her story is so powerful that many in Samaria came to believe in Him based on her witness as they exclaimed, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have seen and heard for ourselves, and we know that this man is the Savior of the world!”

What "water jar" are you holding onto that is preventing you from being fully filled or fully pouring out the hope of Christ within you?

Leave your water jar today and surrender your heart in humility and total dependence upon God!

Like the Samaritan Woman, You Can Share Your Story and Invite Others To “Come and See!”

Jesus is teaching us to look past our own needs so we will be able to see the immediate, urgent opportunities…His divine appointments all around us…to bring people into God's kingdom through our witness.

Open your eyes, the spiritual harvest is ready!

I am beyond excited and thankful to introduce you to Sherry, who, like the Woman at the Well, was spiritually and emotionally weary…until she encountered Jesus, surrendered her heart to Him and was filled with His Living Water!

Emily invited Sherry to our Church and to our “Becoming A Display Of HIS Splendor” Bible Study.  Sherry shared with me that when she read the story of the Woman at the Well for the first time in Week 1: Securely Planted of my spiritual journey workbook, she was moved to tears because she related so much to her. She wept as she prayed out loud after me to surrender her heart to follow Christ.  After we prayed, she boldly shared her story in front of about 50 women and exclaimed, “I am forgiven and now I’m ready to live for Jesus!”
